Year 3: What were the greatest achievements of the Ancient Egyptians?

We have had an incredible term in Year 3! We began with our exciting Egyptian Day, which helped us immerse ourselves fully in our new topic. We explored the story Egyptian Cinderella and have just finished writing our own modern versions of this traditional tale.Year 3 also had the fantastic opportunity to visit the Museum of Antiquities in Eton, where we took part in an Ancient Egypt workshop and deepened our understanding of this fascinating civilisation.

Back in school, we used our Museum Learning objects to investigate how papyrus was made and even created our own in Art.We are now working towards our High Stakes Project, where we will be comparing two ancient civilisations that existed at the same time: Ancient Egypt and the Shang Dynasty. We can’t wait to share all of our wonderful learning with you!
