Why Museum Learning?

Children and young people who visit museums do better. 


Museum Learning is not just about trips and events, it is a way of thinking. We use museums and material culture as a method of enquiry to create well-rounded citizens, aware of their place in the world. Museum Learning creates vivid life experiences rather than approaching learning through a secondary source.

Our case studies show Museum Learning projects improve students’ skills, knowledge and enjoyment. We believe Museum Learning adds context, makes links between subjects and helps students get underneath the skin of things.
