Pre School: Can I tell others about occupations which interest me?

This term in Pre‑School Nursery has been full of excitement as we explored our topic on Occupations. Our learning question—“Can I tell others about occupations which interest me?”—guided us through a wonderful range of hands‑on experiences.

The children loved taking part in a special role‑play workshop where they tried out different jobs, including working in a doctor’s surgery, a police station, a supermarket, a garage, and many more.

We were also delighted to welcome visitors who shared their real‑life roles with us: the local fire department spoke about the important work they do, and a representative from the RAC explained how they help people on the road.

The children asked fantastic questions, explored new ideas, and gained confidence talking about the jobs that inspire them. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable term, and we can’t wait to see what next term brings!
