Nursery: What can I tell others about animals and their young?
Back
What a wonderfully busy and productive time we've had in nursery! Our little artists have been hard at work on a high-stakes project: drawing different animals using a variety of shapes to clearly depict their features. It's been fantastic to see their creativity flourish! We've also been captivated by the natural world, watching with bated breath as ladybugs grew from tiny pupae into beautiful ladybugs. We've been learning all about different animals and the proper names for their young – did you know a baby goat is a kid?Our social skills have been blossoming too, as the children have been navigating friendships with growing negotiation skills. It's wonderful to see them learning to work things out together! Our budding mathematicians have been developing their number and shape knowledge to do simple sums and create some truly interesting ideas. We've also been exploring the concept of capacity, learning all the fun vocabulary that goes along with it, like "full" and "empty."In our literacy corner, we've been immersing ourselves in our story, "A Squash and a Squeeze," and it's been a delight to hear the children retelling it with such wonderful intonation. They're becoming quite insightful, answering questions about stories with more depth and understanding. And in our physical development, they're truly gaining confidence, navigating space with increasing physical skill and assurance.
A Huge Thank You!
Finally, we wanted to extend our sincerest gratitude to our wonderful and generous parents for your incredible contributions to our recent fundraiser. It was a huge success, and we are so appreciative of your support!
